Do you ever wonder what the back story is for a product? About six months ago, I started eating Bear Naked Granola — I liked the ingredients and it was healthy. Today, I came across an article that talks about the company. What a great story. I’ll summarize a couple of the lessons:
Starting a business is HARD WORK! Expect to work 24/7 for the first couple of years – especially if you are making your own product.
For the first two years Kelly and I were the accountants, the distributors, the producers, and the kitchen cleaners. We worked seven days a week until 11 p.m., when we couldn’t bear the sight of another oat. We were green, but we were enthusiastic.
